A mattress protector can help guard against spills and everyday wear, but the wrong size can leave your bed exposed. The best california king waterproof mattress cover should match your mattress dimensions and depth while protecting the surface without adding distracting crinkle noise. The PlushDeluxe Bamboo Waterproof Mattress Protector is listed as King size, measuring 76 by 80 inches and fitting mattresses up to 18 inches deep. That is a standard King specification, not California King, so check your mattress label and measurements before ordering.
After carefully reviewing the product specifications, this cover stands out for its bamboo-derived viscose fabric, waterproof barrier, and stated quiet feel. The product description says the breathable membrane wicks moisture and helps regulate heat, though it does not provide test results or specific cooling measurements. It is designed to fit memory foam, latex, and spring mattresses, making it a practical protective layer rather than a thick pressure-relieving mattress topper that changes bed firmness or alignment. For a closer look at fit problems, see this guide to keeping a mattress layer from sliding, or browse pressure-relief mattress topper options if comfort changes are your priority.

FAQs
Is this PlushDeluxe protector a California King size?
No, the listed size is King at 76 by 80 inches. California King mattresses are a different shape, so measure yours and confirm the product listing offers the exact size before buying. A close-looking size label is not enough to ensure full coverage.
Will this cover fit a thick mattress?
Yes, the King version is stated to fit mattresses up to 18 inches deep. Measure from the bottom edge to the top surface, including any existing pad or topper, and check that the protector can stretch over the full stack. Deep-pocket sheets may also be needed if added bedding increases the total depth.
Does the bamboo fabric make the bed feel cooler?
The product description says its breathable membrane wicks moisture and regulates heat. That may appeal to hot sleepers, but no cooling test data or temperature claims are provided. It is a protector, not a gel memory foam pad designed to alter cushioning or pressure relief.
Can this waterproof mattress protector handle spills and urine?
Yes, the manufacturer describes it as waterproof and says it resists accidental spills and bodily fluids, including sweat and urine. That can be useful for everyday accidents, caregiving, pets, or potty training. Follow the care instructions on the product label to preserve the barrier.
Will the protector make noise or change mattress firmness?
The listing describes the protector as silent, with no crinkling sound, and says it stays smooth. It is intended to protect the mattress, not soften a firm bed, improve spinal alignment, or fix sagging. If a topper shifts on your bed, this guide to mattress fit and back support covers related considerations.
