Protect your mattress without adding crinkle or fuss
A spill can soak through ordinary bedding before you notice, while a noisy or poorly fitted cover can make an otherwise comfortable bed feel less inviting. The best waterproof mattress cover for queen bed should protect the mattress, stay quiet as you move, and fit its depth securely. These six options focus on practical protection, from fitted styles with elastic skirts to a zippered encasement that covers all sides.
Product specifications point to useful differences: several use a TPU waterproof layer, while the PlushDeluxe cover highlights a bamboo-derived fabric and the Utopia Bedding option has a zipper and coverage for mattresses up to 15 inches deep. Check the stated depth before buying, since a protector that doesn’t fit can shift or pull loose. A mattress protector won’t add meaningful pressure relief or correct sagging, but it can help guard your mattress from spills and stains. For a separate surface-comfort upgrade, see this pressure-relief mattress topper overview.

- Generous 18-inch elastic skirt grips securely onto standard, high-profile, and pillow-top queen mattresses

Cons

- Waterproof membrane requires gentle cycle washing and low-heat drying to avoid delamination
- Any waterproof backing will naturally breathe slightly less than an unlined, open-weave sheet
Utopia Bedding Queen Zippered Mattress Encasement

FAQs
Does a waterproof queen mattress protector make noise?
Several options are described as quiet or non-crinkling. BEDLORE, PlushDeluxe, Utopia Bedding, and SafeRest all highlight quiet comfort; fabric feel can still vary, so review the product details before ordering.
How deep a queen mattress does each protector fit?
Check the maximum pocket depth against your mattress measurement. BEDLORE and PlushDeluxe list a fit up to 18 inches, while Utopia Bedding specifies up to 15 inches; the supplied details don’t state a maximum depth for every model.
Is a zippered mattress encasement worth considering?
Yes, if you want coverage on all sides rather than a fitted protector over the top and sides. Utopia Bedding’s zippered encasement wraps around a queen mattress and has TPU backing on all sides; confirm its depth limit before purchase.
Can these mattress covers help with spills and incontinence?
Yes, the listed products describe waterproof layers intended to resist spills or bodily fluids. PlushDeluxe specifically mentions sweat, urine, pets, and caregiving situations, while other models describe TPU protection. Follow the care label after an accident.
Can I machine wash a waterproof mattress protector?
Yes, the product details list machine washing for these protectors, with low-heat tumble drying specified for several. BEDLORE advises against ironing and bleaching, and SafeRest specifies cold washing. Use the instructions supplied with your exact model.
Will a mattress protector make a firm or sagging bed more comfortable?
No, a protector is designed for mattress protection, not significant cushioning or structural support. It won’t repair deep sagging or reliably relieve hip and shoulder pressure; a topper is a separate comfort layer. If sliding is a concern with that layer, see these practical tips for keeping a mattress topper in place.
