Short Queen RV Mattresses for More Comfortable Nights
A cramped RV bed can make shoulder pressure, warm sleep, and partner movement feel hard to ignore. The picks here include foam and hybrid builds, so the best short queen innerspring mattress search also has options for shoppers who want pocketed coils, responsive support, or a simpler all-foam feel. Check your RV platform dimensions before ordering: short queen sizing can vary, and the listed products include different lengths.
After carefully analyzing the product specifications, the clearest differences are construction, profile, safety certifications, and trial or warranty terms. The Neohavn and Grbsy models pair foam with pocket coils, while the other options use memory foam layers. That distinction matters if you want more bounce and airflow, or if pressure relief and motion absorption are higher priorities. Product descriptions do not provide coil gauge, foam density, or a standardized firmness score on the 1-10 scale, so avoid assuming those details.
For more targeted guidance, see these mattress picks for firm back support or this hybrid mattress comfort guide. Compare the listed height with your RV’s fitted space, and confirm foundation compatibility with the seller before purchase. Certification claims and trial conditions should also be checked on the current product listing.

- Packaged weight of roughly 66 pounds can be difficult for a single person to guide through narrow camper doors
- Requires deep-pocket RV sheets to accommodate the full 12-inch height without slipping
Zinus 8-Inch Short Queen Ultima RV Memory Foam
Tailored specifically for motorhomes and travel trailers, the Zinus 8-Inch Short Queen Ultima is an all-foam mattress featuring green tea infusions and a 7-zone comfort system rated as medium-firm. - CertiPUR-US and OEKO-TEX certifications confirm third-party evaluation for foam emissions and cover textile safety.
- Infused green tea and purified charcoal help resist stale odors in enclosed vehicle cabins.
Cons
- The 8-inch low profile offers limited deep cushioning for heavyweight sleepers over 230 pounds, who may feel the firmer base foam.
- Perimeter edges compress under direct sitting weight due to the absence of reinforced edge coils or encasement.
- Non-standard Short Queen length is six inches shorter than a standard residential Queen, making it unsuitable for traditional household frames.
FAQs
Are these all innerspring short queen mattresses?
No. The Neohavn and Grbsy options are hybrids with pocket coils and foam, while the remaining listed models are memory foam. If you specifically want spring support and a more responsive surface, focus on the hybrid constructions.
Which option may suit a hot sleeper?
The Neohavn and Grbsy hybrids describe cooling covers or gel foam, with coil spaces that may allow airflow through the mattress. Cooling features can help manage warmth, but they don’t guarantee a cool sleep temperature for every person or RV setup.
Do the hybrid models help limit partner movement?
Both hybrid product descriptions highlight motion isolation from their foam-and-coil construction. Pocket coils are individually housed, and foam layers can absorb some movement, but the listings don’t provide measured motion-transfer results.
Are any of these mattresses fiberglass-free?
Yes. The Celestial Sleep, Neohavn, and Grbsy descriptions identify fiberglass-free construction. Check the current listing for details about the fire barrier and cover care, and don’t remove a cover unless the manufacturer permits it.
What trial and warranty coverage should I compare?
Neohavn and Grbsy list a 365-night trial and a 10-year warranty. Several other models list a 10-year limited warranty, but trial terms aren’t supplied for every product. Review current seller policies, return steps, and warranty exclusions before ordering.
Will a short queen mattress fit my RV foundation?
Not automatically. The listed dimensions include 60 by 74 inches for hoggisleep and 60 by 75 inches for Grbsy, so measure your platform and check clearance around corners. Confirm slat spacing or adjustable-base compatibility with the manufacturer if those details matter for your setup.
